Proof of competence

Hire certified crane operators — credentials verified before the lift.

Crane Connect matches construction companies with freelance crane operators, riggers, banksmen and lift supervisors whose NCCCO, OSHA-30 and medical documents have been checked by our team. You see live availability, sign a contract per booking and receive one invoice with the platform fee broken out.

Which certifications we verify

Documents are uploaded once into the certifications vault and re-checked before every job. Expired credentials block new bookings.

NCCCO crane operator certification
Mobile, tower and overhead operator credentials are uploaded to the certifications vault and checked before an operator can be booked.
OSHA-30 construction safety
30-hour construction safety training covering hazard recognition, rigging practice and jobsite responsibilities.
Medical card / fitness for duty
Current medical certificates are stored with expiry dates; operators are alerted 60 days before a document lapses.
Rigger & signalperson qualification
Riggers, banksmen and lift supervisors carry their own verified qualifications for load control and signalling.

Safe Lifting Solutions on every job

Every operator on the platform works to the V.S.C. Cranes standard: safety first, from preparation to the final lift.

  • Lifting plan assessed before every job
  • No workers under or near lifted loads
  • Taglines to control loads instead of hands
  • Banksman guidance in blind spots
  • LMRA / toolbox talk before the shift starts
  • Primary general liability coverage per booking

How hiring works

  1. 1. Check availability

Search operators and riggers by location, specialty and open days on their live calendar.

  2. 2. Book and sign

A contract is generated per booking; both parties sign in-app before the crew mobilises.

  3. 3. Timesheets to invoice

Hours are logged and approved on the platform and turned into an invoice with the 10% fee shown separately.

Questions about certified operators

What does a certified crane operator mean on Crane Connect?

It means the operator has uploaded their certification documents — such as NCCCO operator cards, OSHA-30 training and a valid medical card — and our team has reviewed and approved them before the profile can accept bookings.

How are certifications kept up to date?

Every document is stored with its expiry date. Operators and administrators receive automatic alerts 60 days before a certificate expires, and an expired document blocks new bookings until it is renewed and re-verified.

Is the booking insured?

Yes. Every connection made through the platform is backed by primary general liability coverage, and the booking is governed by the general terms and conditions of V.S.C. Cranes Bv.

What does it cost to hire a certified operator?

There is no subscription. Crane Connect charges a flat 10% connection fee per booking, which includes the contract, insurance and invoicing.
